Very nice little restaurant with a good food and beer selection. I had a pork tenderloin which was excellent. Friendly staff, and we enjoyed sitting on the back patio.

Definitely a neighborhood pub. All the patrons seemed to know each other and it was nice overhearing some of the joyful conversations. The food was fantastic. The tenderloin and burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly, and my son loved the potstickers. We will definitely go back next time we're in Mt. Vernon!
Super delicious food (I got club with French fries), great Moscow Mule, and most importantly- WONDERFUL customer service. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. First time here and I couldn't recommend it more.

Hands down the best burgers you will ever get anywhere. My family and I always come down to eat after Iowa Hawkeye football games and have been eating here since 2014. The service is always super fast and the quality/taste of the food is amazing.
My wife, daughter and I ate there this past weekend. We had eaten there one other time, that I had forgotten about, but the food and the service were excellent both times. I’m glad we found this place, we live in CR, but love coming to Mount Vernon occasionally, and this a great place to grab lunch. We will definitely be back.
What a great small pub with great atmosphere and food. Food prices are reasonable; the quality great. I had a hand breaded porkloin, and dont really know how to best describe it. The fries was great, the beer cold. Well worth a visit. O, remember the outside porch in the back!

We were seated right away. Way from other's, which was great for me . Had a cheeseburger in fries, tasted just like my mom made growing up. With hand cut fries. Everything fresh.
We were looking for a new place to try for dinner, so stopped in to check out Chameleons. Hubby ordered the aloha tenderloin and I had the tavern burger. Both were exceptionally good! The BEST tavern burger I've ever had. The housemade sweet pickles really set it off. The hand cut fries were so yummy, too! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff made sure we were treated well. We will most definitely be going back again.
I've been having lunch here for years and have always been pleased. I recently tried the Snake Wrap and it was so delicious!! Great place to go to get something fresh and to have superb fries!!
